Te’Cheetah Lopez is a singer/songwriter/Actress and performer who defies traditional music boundaries.
By adding her Latin sabor to a variety of musical genres, she creates music that moves the body, stirs the soul and stimulates the mind. Love songs, sambas, R & B, funk and jazz, transform into new musical experiences every time she graces the stage.
Backed by great musicians from groups like Malo, the Dramatics, Tierra, Sly and the Family Stone and El Chicano, every Te’Cheetah recording and performance explodes with the spirit and musical passion she exudes.
This passion was clearly evident in the 2014 release of her second C.D. “Salsa Soul Fuzion,” co-produced and recorded by Rudy Salas (Tierra) and his son David Salas. The recordings featured El Chicano guitarist Ray Carrion, also Steven Gutierrez (Willie Bobo), Ronnie Lawes and Rick Reyes of Joe Batan and Tierra.
Radio DJs and fans loved the C.D., which quickly became a viral hit on the Internet.
MY MUSICAL TEAMS
Te'Cheetah, has collaborated and performed with some of the biggest names in the music industry. These include:
· David “the DCX” Cochraine, formerly of the Commodores, who with Jesse Johnson, formerly of The Times, co-produced her release “Abrazame.”Cochraine’s resume includes producing music for Paula Abdul and Atlantic Starr, as well as many others. “Abrazame” is a passionate ode to Latin pop with soulful flavors;
· Howard Johnson, known for his worldwide hit “So Fine,” also contributed his talent to Te’Cheetah’s signature sound;
· Paris Escovedo, son of Coke Escovedo (Santana, Malo), lent his musical talents to several songs on her albums;
establishing an independent career for herself, she has collaborated with platinum award winning producer David "the DCX" Cochrane, (formerly of the Commodores with Lionel Richie), whose resume credits include having produced Paula Abdul and Atlantic Starr, among many others. Together with Jesse Johnson, (formerly of The Times), David co-produced her upcoming release "Abrazame." David and Jesse worked very hard producing and mixing Te'Cheetah's project, for an outstanding sound that has rocked this world, with Latin pop and soulful flavors." Also Featured on one of albums is recording artist Howard Johnson, known for his worldwide hit "So Fine," which has been creatively remixed into an R&B Latin soul groove. Guest appearances also include guitarist Jesse Johnson, who contributed guitars, co-
writing, as well as additional instrumentation on the compositions "Querida Madre," "Mi Vida," "Ain't Nothing Like A Song," and "Abrazame." Latin percussionist Paris Escovedo, Son of Coke Escovedo (of Santana and Azteca), cousin of Sheila E, and nephew of Pete Escovedo, also lends his talents, as does actor &congero Eddie Rouse, known for his roles in such movies as Raising the Bar, Observe and Report, Pandorum, Pineapple Express, The Number 23, K-Ville, American Gangster, Low and Behold, Undertow, and all the Real Girls, to name a few. Also contributing to the CD, is master producer and recording artist Michael Battista, who has contributed his rhythms of Middle Eastern, African, and Latin percussion, with funk, house beats, and his soulful vocals.
Te'Cheetah has worked master producer and songwriter Christopher Troy, who has produced Jeffrey Osbourne, Rick James, Teena Marie, The Whispers, Karyn White, Alexander O'Neal, Freddie Jackson, K-Ci&JoJo, to name a few, as well as produced the Original Motion Picture Soundtracks for "White Men Can't Jump," "Deep Cover," "Gordy," "Sixth Man," and "Save The Last Dance." Christopher Troy, was in the beginning stages of producing music for the crossover album of the "Queen of Tejano Music," Selena, until her untimely and tragic Death. Christopher Troy has honored Techeetah with one of those songs slated for (The Queen of Tejano Music) "Selena Q" and is now up on World Wide Distribution (Love Me Now)
Te’Cheetah plans to be the first Latin female to put the “Salsa Soul” category on the map. With the inspiration from her two idols - Celia Cruz, the “Salsa Queen,” and La Lupe, the “Latin Soul Queen”- TeCheetah will grace the musical throne as “the Salsa Soul Queen.”

Includes women as composers, songwriters, instrumental performers, singers, conductors, music scholars, music educators, music critics/music journalists and in other musical professions.
A songwriter is an individual who writes the lyrics, melodies and chord progressions for songs, typically for a popular music genre such as pop, rock country music, etc.
Numerous women stand out as pioneers of their chosen genre, but this does not go without saying there is so much more work to be done.
